More controlled,

than one would think, but shouldn`t be used before having a stable technical basis. Wonderful for blocking. Generating a lot of spin, to be so fast (with Tenergy 25). Very good handle for twiddling (straight) and also very good for playing long pips ox. The heavy weight is something I welcome (mine weighs a 100g) since i play pimples ox and found out that more weight stabilizes my chop-blocking as well as my top-spin movement and adds some extra power. So using the mazunov makes my racket weigh as much as a mid-weight blade with two inverted rubbers, but I got used to the weight so quicklx, that I can imagine it`s also great with two inverted rubbers, if you get used to it.

I really liked the butterfly mazunov blade. It is a pure wood blade that is extremely stiff and extremely heavy. It is one of the heaviest blades i have ever felt, at a whopping 109 grams. the wood is also very hard. The result is a very fast blade. This blade is very fast, but on the other hand, the control is compromised. This is a purely offensive blade. When you loop, you can feel the ball really push off of the blade. It is a little hard to contorl the shtos though, because you gain a lot of momentum, and it is kind of hard to control the contact of the ball.

It´s probably the fastest 5 ply wood blade ever done and truly the fastest pure wood blade by Butterfly and maybe one its most classical blades, but nowadays has fallen into the oblivion.

It´s way thick, stiffer as a brick, and pretty head-heavy, and overall height is too much me. Built quality&ply construction is an issue, better to seal it to avoid splinters. To be Frank, it has been improved by many others blades, but we have to consider its reasonable price and better feeling than regular carbon blades. You´ll probably find it as a bargain or clearance item.
