Sriver G2 FX (Butterfly)

Butterfly is proud to introduce a soft-sponge version of the new Sriver G2, the G2 FX. Finally there is a rubber for the technical offensive players that features Butterfly’s High Tension Technology. Great glue sound, explosive spin and speed, this is the perfect rubber for most all-round attacking players. Until now, most High Tension Rubbers were designed for all-out power players. Now the players who like to win points through variable spin play have their own High Tension Weapon, Sriver G2 FX.

The new SRIVER G2, powered by Butterfly’s High Tension technology.

Sriver G2 FX is an all around attacking rubber. I'd recommend it to an intermediate player on both wings. One thing I cannot stress enough about this is having to hit the ball with flat trajectory. I lost so many points and games because I was creating a curve. (I was used to playing Chinese rubbers. But it was on my fh.)

Like all Srivers, I feel this one does everything. The only issues I have with it are that its slow (not exactly slow but not as fast as Bryce) and that its harder to loop backspin balls than others rubbers.

For this rubber, all my individual rates speak for themselves. Beginners may like this and intermediate players will love this. Great for counter looping and blocking and hitting. More advanced players will find this too slow and since speed glue is longer an alternative, I'd recommend advanced players not to use this because of its disappointing speed.

I tried this rubber in 2.1 sponge with some andro free glue and it worked quite nicely. The feel was similar to the sriver S but there was more power and it was a lot more spinier. This rubber has also lasted me 3 seasons and the rubber is still like new with the same speed and controll.

The Only bad thing I can think about this product is that it is quite light and not as powerfull as Bryce or Tenergy.

I would recommend this as a backhand rubber to anyone who has previously used speed glue but need and alternative. Because there is lots of control on this rubber I also think it is a good rubber for beginners mabey on a soft blade with sriver L on the forehand and Sriver g2 FX on their backhand

A very good rubber. Butterfly is right with the allround attackers, it isn't a speed monster but isn't slow either! Looping is easy, and the glue effect was nice (although prohibited now). Throw is low-medium.

The sponge is soft though, it is about the same hardness as Sriver FX, but this one feels a lot softer.
Durability is good, mine lasted a year which is long for my standard.
A good rubber for intermidiate players who want an upgrade but feel they can't handle Bryce and Tenergy yet.

Sriver G2 FX is like a little harder, higher throw angle version of the Bryce Speed FX. I personally like the Sriver G2 FX a little better. It is way easier to control since you can feel it better and it has a higher throw angle. It also has very good power and spin. Its great for looping or counterlooping. Its also great for blocking with some spin as well. It is a very good all around offensive rubber. It does not have anything prominent, but it can create very solid shots of all kinds. Combine it with a player with good technique and strokes, and you have yourself a great combination!

Blade Used: Photino and Keyshot Light
Glued?: Yes and No
Thickness: 1.9
Color: Red

Tried using this rubber on a Photino and Keyshot Light and on both, gives very consistent performance. It's not overly bouncy but loops are quite easy to execute. Chops and blocks are a breeze with very good control. It's not Sriver of course in control, but it has that Sriver-like feel to it.

2nd week using this rubber, used them glued using Fair Chack. the performance changes are pretty obvious and I'm getting more speed and spin on it, plus a decent popping sound to boot.

The rubber is quite light and as with all other butterfly rubbers, durability is not a concern.
