Sriver (Butterfly)

Sriver (Butterfly)

SRIVER is the most successful Butterfly Rubber since its introduction in 1967. More than 20 World and 70 European Champions have won their titles with Sriver. The combination of the hard and spinny rubber on the surface with a medium hard and flexible sponge makes SRIVER the natural choice for all round attacking players. Its consistency proves it is the all time winner.

Classic rubber from Butterfly, This was the first rubber that i ever used after premades. Medium hard sponge inverted rubber, this rubber can do it all. Loop, smash, block, serve, flip with control. It's not very fast, but it's fast enough that many advance players still use it. When speedglued, it becomes a monster. Most of the ratings I gave this rubber were for unglued Sriver.

This rubber is very durable and can last up to several years with good care. At $30 a piece, this is a great rubber for beginners to intermediate players.

On the Butterfly website you can read that Sriver is a classic rubber with all the gears to play the modern attacking game. They're not lying. This is a Japanese rubber at its finest. Play unglued its fantastic, played glued its even more fantastic. Looking for a good balance of power, spin, control? Sriver is perfect for you. The bigger brother of the Sriver family of EL and FX, the harder sponge will generate a little more power and offer better touch short game. The medium-hard sponge still allows for good glue effect as well. This one's a keeper.

This is a very good rubber for the looping game. It produces a lot of spin and speed with speed glue but without speed glue it's nothing special. With Sriver using speed glue you can play with power and spin with a good control.
