this is okay for initiating attacks close-to-table. you get to attack first. but if you are not able to sustain it, you're in trouble because subsequent attacks are not that fast. somehow, smashes aren't that good. this is the only rubber that two player countersmashed against me -- something nobody has ever done against me when I use european or jap rubbers. but considering its price, it's okay.

My first rubbers, they feel a bit like sriver which is unusual for a rubber from 729/friendship. The sponge is relatively hard but it's a good offensive rubber with enough speed and spin to attack effectively but not too out of control that a beginner cannot handle it. For a newbie on a budget this is a great rubber, or for someone who plays a controlled attacking game.

The friendship 729 faster rubber is a chinese like rubber topsheet with a german sponge. Basically, it is a very high speed and high spin rubber, great for all out looping. the sponge is rather hard, and the topsheet is pretty tacky. It is perfect for looping of all types. For underspin loops, i felt no problem producing the spin and speed. The mid distance looping, it can definitely hit the ball hard enough with loads of spin, so you get that very powerful shot feel. For other aspects, like blocking, it is a hard to control, since it is a pretty hard sponge. For 20 dollars though, it is a great offensive rubber.
