Acoustic (Nittaku)

Acoustic (Nittaku)

Softer feel, slightly faster and thicker than Nittaku Violin, the Acoustic is made through a blade-making machine that is also used to make musical instruments (hence its name). The handle is extremely comfortable, and feels slightly longer/thinner than European blades.

While it has better control and feeling, Acoustic is a bit slow compared to carbon blades. Must have very good technique to produce really fast ball with this blade, especially since the glue ban. I think it is good for control loop play from both wing, but won't work for 3rd-ball attackers. Where it really shines is away from the table, great feeling and control for counter topspin. And finally, I love its design and build quality.

this blade is absolutely magical. i switched from a kreanga powerspin after almost a year and i dont think i could have picked a better blade. tenergy 05 2.1 on the fh and narucross ex soft 2.0 on the bh. great combination but you must have a consistent topspin game or the blade wont click right. over the table its a monster and opening shots are a breeze. blocking is also another strong point because they are naturally going to be very fast without much effort at all. off the table is where this blade really shines though. lobs are easy to get very high with control. playing counter topspins off the table with this blade is great fun. once you get used to this blade the feeling is magical. totally worth the money.

The acoustic is a fast blade, it is very good for looping and hitting. close to table play is a little bit more difficult and so is blocking deu to the speed, if you put on very fast rubbers like tenergy 05 make sure you can controll your technique elseway this setup will be to fast for you to control.
When you are not so fast then you could use a little bit slower looping rubber like desto f3 for this is a great loopingblade
It is a very good blade, great speed and control but make sure you use the right rubber for your gameplay and teqnique

The Nittaku Acoustic blade is a blade about 150 dollars that is an excellent blade for intermediate to pro players. Coupled with awesome speed and really good control, it is a great blade for a two winged looper or other offensive player.

The blade is quite thin and light, so it is kind of hard to get momentum, but that's why its not for noobs :)! The build quality is relaly good.

At 150 dollars, it is pretty pricey, but you can get it for like 100 dollars for used ones or from foreign sites, so i completely recommend it!

Another great pure wood blade from nittaku. It´s also 5 plys but thicker than Violin, but both are very similar, they even share the same box.
It´s also has a great control and blade construction is noticeable, but Violin grains are even better.
Concerning speed and feeling its clearly faster than Violin but lacks a bit of feeling compared to Violin. Nevertheless it´s obvious if you consider it´s a bit thicker and faster.
I would think it should fit from mid distance looper to far distance. The main problem is certainly head-heavy and the average weight is around on the 90´s grm...ups.... I forgot it... also the high price and handles aren´t comfy at all (FL is horrible) :(

To sum up:
Accoustic: More power on loops, lacks a bit on control&feeling, suitable from mid-far play.
Violin: Less power in general, better control and proper for close to table attacks and mid-distance.
