Maybe this is the best Stiga rubber,because there is an excellent balance between speed spin and control; excellent balance means the real or the ideal balance of a rubber. Actually no other brands are capable to make such kind of balance.
Magna is similar to a Chinese rubber, very hard and tacky, but faster. With speed glue, it can generate incredible spin and moderate speed. It is good for short game because it isn't bouncy or springy. Serves are also very spinny because of the tacky topsheet. But, without speed glue, it's much worse, still good spin but too hard and slow.
Magna is an amazing rubber for forehand loopings, when it is speed glued. it has the perfect looping feeling. i played with it for practice some whiles back, and i really liked the feel of it for looping. you could controll the ball better and good with less power than other offensive rubbers you could loop with. You can control the depth and closeness wide narrow shots very precisely as you like. it was also good for blocking. the ball seemed to just pop right off the rubber very contolled with good feeling. without speed glue, it is not near as fast, but more spinny than tenergy. i would probably not use in the future tho
With speed glue, Stiga MAGNA is a great rubber for an offensive type player. With a perfect balance of speed, control, spin, and throw, the rubber can absolutely beautifully execute great loops, blocks, and smashes. Though able to produce a lot of spin, Magna will not considerably help you counteract spin. The player must have a decent loop in order to use this rubber successfully. But since there is a speed glue ban, buying this rubber is not recommended for players of sanctioned tournaments.
