A number of co--players in the club have told me that one the fastest rubber they have ever played against is Mendo MP (i used stiga speed glue then). Really? I don't know because i haven't played against a player using Mendo MP, although one of the fastest attackers I have played against used mendo (glued). Unglued the sponge is medium hard, but becomes slightly softer (medium) when glued. if you still insist on using speed glue and don't compete in sanctioned tournaments and only in cluib tournaments, then mendo MP is still the fastest rubber of the speed glue era. it is a very pro-active rubber when hitting off the bounce and when blocking -- really fast. the only problem is that like any speed glue rubber, the sponge dies off quickly. its sponge probably lasts three months and the topsheet lasts about the same time.
Mendo MP is a pretty good allaround attacking rubber from Stiga. It is capable of making pretty high arc, spinny loops. It is pretty fast, and capable of making a lot of spin. No attribute is really "eye catching" but it has decent characteristics all around. Like other Stiga rubbers, Mendo MP tears and rips pretty easily, especially with regluing. Its not too hard, but not too soft either. Could consider this rubber if you are looking, i would recommend for backhand.
