Bryce Speed FX (Butterfly)

Bryce Speed FX (Butterfly)

BRYCE SPEED FX uses the same rubber as BRYCE SPEED but it possesses a softer and more flexible sponge, the effect is greater control. BRYCE SPEED FX is one of the new generation of rubbers produced by Butterfly High Tension Technology; it is suitable for both club players as well as high class internationals.

* This is a highly delicate product. You are recommended to protect the rubber surface with a Rubber Film by Butterfly or a similar product after a match or a practice.

bryce speed fx is kind of like inverse of tenergy 05. it is for similar game, for really hard loopers, but it has a completely different feel to it.

I personally do not like looping with bryce speed fx a lot. this rubber is for people who liek to look very low balls, with lots of speed. the throw angle is teh most noticeable feature. it is very very low. some ppl may like this feature for looping, but i personally do not like the lowness. it is good for blocking though, i never had a probelm with hitting the ball too long. the speed is maybe faster, but the shot is much more straight with no arch.

Great rubber. Ball stays incredible low and charges forward when playing topspin. Blocking is out of this world, best rubber I have ever used for blocking, the harder faster and spinnier the ball is hit the faster it goes back with plenty of control over the shot. When pushing or playing soft blocks against short serves it seems to send the ball back with very little spin because the ball is not sinking into the rubber with these shots, I win a lot of points by just touching a spinny serve back leaving the opponet nothing to work with. The spin is produces with shots that make the ball sink into the sponge, this rubber is more mechanical spin that friction spin meaning that a player can produce high spin and speed during a powerful rally [when ball sinks in] but not have to work hard to control spinny serves [when ball does not sink in]. I would recommend this as a backhand rubber for power spin and offensive block, blocking powerful spinny loops is easy with this rubber, in fact, it's a pleasure. Looping against chop with backhand takes the best technique as it's a lot harder to do because of the extremely low throw angle.

The Bryce Speed Fx Red 2.1mm is a unique rubber. It has a low throw angle, but has decent spin and control. The shots produced with this rubber are extremely fast! This is a great rubber for advanced players who have a solid stroke and are consistent with their shots. I recommend it for backhand, as it is great rubber for smashing, looping, and blocking. You can easily counterloop the ball because of its low throw but high spin and control. If you are looking for one of those rubbers that will produce a "high fly" high arc loop, this is probably not the best choice. The ball goes almost straight out, so you have to have good timing and good strokes. Its capability to create fast, spinny, "charging" shots makes it a great backhand rubber to use!

A rubber even faster than Bryce FX? No way! But here it is another excellent offering from Butterfly. Someone has told me that this is one of the most popular backhand rubber in Korea right now. It is EXTREMELY fast, so fast that it's fairly difficult to play with. The topsheet is pretty grippy, which is typical from Butterfly, but its high speed prevents you from really generating too much spin.

There's not really any glue effect in this rubber, but it does make a very loud CRACK sound when striking the ball (no click sound). Similar to its predecessor Bryce FX, it has a low throw angle, thus making it very friendly to counter loop, but harder to loop backspin. Great durability and another great rubber from Butterfly.

Like Bryce Speed, this rubber is fantastic. The spin is very good on both serves and loops (unglued). The speed is excellent when I hit even a medium fast loop. The rubber has a crisp feeling at the table when new.

I think Bryce Speed FX is slightly slower than Bryce Speed, yet still plenty fast for my FH side. Butterfly rates it as as fast and spinny for some reason - but I don't see how it can be, given that its sponge is quite a lot softer.

Bryce Speed FX is very soft. You can feel the ball sink in, but it catapults out at great speed.

There's definitely no click with Bryce Speed FX on either my Maze or Iolite blades, but it's low throw. I much prefer this sponge to that of regular Bryce.

Because the durability of Bryce Speed is very good, you shouldn't consider it as expensive. You need to look at cost per year rather than cost per sheet.
